Marouane Fellaini- A Manchester United player. By Lokesh Sankar Rath

After several failures in the summer transfer market Manchester United signed their long term target Marouane Fellaini at a price of 27.5 million this month. MUFC secured the player on the dead

line day showing the desperation to buy the player to get rid of their mid field woes. The Belgian international played 5 years for Everton and worked happily with the current Manchester united manager David Moyes in the past. From childhood Fellaini had a dream of becoming a Manchester United player and he has been a strong admirer of this giant club. News from different level is that Fellaini sacrificed his loyalty bonus for Manchester united, denied add-ons for his buyout clause. MUFC paid 23.5 million to Everton and the Merseyside blues kept the 4 million as the extended money from Fellaini.

David Moyes knows the every single thing of Fellaini and he certainly knows how to use the player well. Many think that Fellaini is a waste investment for MUFC and is he worth that much of money. But I think he is worth more than that. His skills are improved. He is a defensive mid fielder where Manchester united needed a strong player.  He plays the physical game well. He will be good partner of Micheal Carrick for the box to box passing. He defends very well and his blocking near the post is also remarkable.

It is certainly not a joke to score more than 10 goals for a season in premier league and scoring against all top 4 is commendable performance. He scored 11 goals last year and scored 25 in premier league so far. For Everton he scored 35 goals in 177 appearances.

Manchester United`s two deadly forwards Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie will be taking the corners of left side and right side respectively. While taking the corners MUFC always missed a tall and attacking player every time. The addition of Fellaini will bring more chances for headers. He is very impressive for his headers when he was in Goodison park. With the likes of Shinji kagawa,Antonio Valencia, Luis Nani and Ashley Young  he will also get full support to score with cross and get assist inside the box.
The bonding of Fellaini with other mid fielders will also give David moyes very good options to change and raise the tempo of the game for MUFC at a certain level in intensified situations.

Fellaini`s rawness in UEFA Champions League will be a big concern for the Old tafford boss but I strongly believe he will be a threat for every team`s defense line to go forward or pass the ball. His passing is pin point and he likes his wingers to go forward cross ball for him.
Fellaini`s counter attacking skills are world famous. His goals against both Manchester clubs last season was a highlight of that. He is a very good player and the only thing MUFC is going to give this player is the exposure he needs to groom at the world class level. He is very young and is having his old father figure in his new team. One thing Fellaini will surely love is the atmosphere in the theater of dreams. The support from the fans will be overwhelming for Fellaini and it will be the moment for his life when he scores for the first time there.

Manchester United assigned Jersey No. 31 for Fellaini

I wish all the luck to a player who has done everything he could do for a move to his favorite club. His presence in MUFC is going to bring ample amount of success for him. No doubt the process of his signing created a lot of confusion around the supporters about the potential but answering with result to the critics is the best policy to shut them up.
